SSPedi: Symptom Screening in Pediatrics. A tool for active symptom screening from the patient themselves.
The overarching goal of this program of research, to improve symptom control, maximize QoL and reduce morbidity for children with cancer, is critically important to improving the health of these children. The tool developed in this research is clinically relevant and has the potential for broad applicabililty to other pediatric populations.
SPARK is a website which allows patients to use SSPedi and to allow HCPs and family members a way of looking at these scores. SPARK will also provide supportive care CPGs for the HCP and summary recommendations for the family members and patient.
